MEDITATION

I escaped the labyrinth of my mind
only to find myself in the complexities of my soul.
Where do I go? What do I do? I cried.
I listened for an answer but heard only
the chatter of the world outside my consciousness.
Be silent, I finally heard. Be silent.
I closed my eyes and opened my heart and allowed
the butterfly wings of knowledge to enter my being.
I go where I am and I am what I do, I realized.
I emerged a new person, ready to accept and embrace the
complexities of my soul and sojourn the labyrinth of my
mind in peace.
